If It All Goes "Pear-Shaped."
Back in the day, I spent a lot of time in the UK and amongst other unique phrases, my friends there would often use the term "pear-shaped" when referring to something gone horribly wrong.
And what made me think of it was a situation one of our good customers ran into the other day. Turns out they had ordered the wrong lanyard attachment and did not discover it until the very last minute. This could be where one might use the term "pear-shaped" in its proper context.
As you might imagine, they were in a bit of a panic when they called but we were able to overnight the proper neck lanyards to them the following day, preventing a potential nightmare.
The point here is not how great we are... the point is, when your purchase is important, when it has to be there on time and when it has to be right, you need to place your trust in someone who will be there to help in the event something unforeseen happens... if "it all goes pear-shaped."
The web has made it easy for all manner of people to get into our industry and, as a result, every time I Google "promotional items" or "meeting supplies" I see a new site or two or three. And yes, competition is a good thing as it drives us all to improve.
But as a buyer of time-sensitive products for events, you need to know that MARCO Promotional Products has both the resources and the will to cover you if it all goes "pear-shaped."
