The worst possible "punishment" we could dole out to my daughter...

...was to take away her hair dryer.

Granted, this was a few years ago. My lovely daughter now has a teenage daughter of her own, but back in her younger days, when she'd not cleaned up her room or been in on time or committed some other infraction, her mother would sometimes resort to the ultimate punishment... no hair dryer. So, off to school my daughter would go with whatever she could do with her hair without the use of a hair dryer.
