The OMS Builder's Club
The OMS Builder's Club
Omro, WI

The Shopping for Kids Program has been around for 20+ years. The OMS Builder's Club takes a group of children in need, grades kindergarten through grade 5, shopping for Christmas gifts. Throughout the year students and community groups raise money to make this event a success. Each child is paired with a volunteer high school student. They eat a small breakfast together then head out to shop! A local business donates a bus to get the kids and volunteers to and from shopping. After shopping everyone heads back to school and wraps the presents together. After everything is wrapped all the kids and volunteers enjoy a pizza party, also donated by a local business. Participating children are chosen from within the Omro community. It is truly a wonderful day in Omro for both kids and adults!

The OMS Builder's Club provides young people opportunities for personal development, helping build strong leaders and community members. Builders Club is a program of Kiwanis International, where recognizing that the youth of today want to be a part of building their future.
