Destiny's Daughters of Promise
Destiny's Daughters of Promise
Kennesaw, GA

Destiny's Daughters of Promise (DDP) provides a safe environment where teen girls can come to learn strategies to become confident leaders and contributing members of society. DDP has grown tremendously in the number of girls they serve and in the innovation and reach of their programs. Demand continues to grow in the county and surrounding counties for their life-enhancing community service projects, group outings, field trips, mentoring and leadership workshop sessions. Their program targets middle and high school girls. They have joined forces with engaged parents, local schools, community leaders, businesses and corporations to help teens graduate and become productive citizens. They believe that when they save a girl, they save a generation.

The three components of their program include:
Leadership Development Sessions
Mentoring
Community Service

Middle School Program: NX Gen (Next Generation Leaders) is designed to prepare middle school girls for transition into healthy and independent adults. The after school sessions enhance leadership development, strong interpersonal skills and basic life skills.

High School Program: Girl with Promise is specific to the enrichment and development of young women in grades 8-12. The purpose of establishing Girl with Promise is to teach vital life skills through direct instruction, opportunities for career exploration, field trips and role-playing; this in turn will help foster personal growth and development. Teen girls in the high school program come from various high schools in the Metro Atlanta area. In addition, the teens enjoy occasional outings and field trips.
