No message is more important than life.
Did you know that approximately 5,000 people die each year from texting? That's almost twice the number of fatalities that occurred on September 11, 2001. Children under 20 years of age make up the largest group involved in those fatal crashes.
Recently a woman from a community just north of our Oshkosh, WI corporate office hit a 46 year old man who was riding his bike. She was texting at the time of the accident. He suffered major injuries and died 9 days later in the hospital, a direct result of those injuries. She will be serving 1 year in jail and was charged with "Homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle, a Class G felony". Her actions have changed forever the lives of all involved.
Our employees care about our customers and we show this through our weekly Difference Makers™ program as well as the suicide awareness cards that we handed out last year. We want to help people realize that the texting can wait! We will be giving up to 100 free "Don't drive inTXTicated" wristbands to the first 200 qualified schools & non-profit organizations who ask for them.
Please fill out the application and describe the program or effort that you have in place or will be implementing for young drivers, as well as how you plan to use the awareness bracelets. You may then email, mail, or fax it back to us. The wristbands will be ready to ship to you in early September 2013.
If your school or non-profit organization is interested in receiving more than 100 of the wristbands, anyone may purchase a minimum of 100 pre-printed "Don't drive inTXTicated" awareness bands for 25¢ each for any quantity. Individual wristband samples may be ordered prior to placing an order. Please contact us for more inforamtion or to place your order.
